No free lunches for NMB councillors

Nelson Mandela Bay Councillors will no longer be getting a free lunch at Council meetings.

Speaker Maria Hermans also called a halt to free lunches when committees work through both the morning and after-noon.

Hermans said that lunch would no longer be provided after the last meeting of Council for the 2011/12 financial year.

As a result tomorrow’s Municipal Public Accounts Committee Agenda’s cover states: NO FOOD WILL BE PROVIDED - PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN LUNCH.
