Police have yet to unravel the mystery surrounding the murder of a Port Elizabeth policeman and the brutal knife attack on a Uitenhage man.
The body of Gelvandale police sergeant Willem Pretorius was found in bushes between Motherwell and Uitenhage late on Thusday night, several hours after he had been reported missing.
Mystery also surrounds the discovery of the critically wounded Ary van Onselen of Uitenhage who had been found several metres from Pretorius' car.
He had been stabbed several times and is said to be clinging on to life in a Uitenhage hospital.
Police believe he may have the clues to unraveling the mystery.
