Students at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University's (NMMU) George campus and the George Municipality will collaborate for a series of events aimed at protesting gender violence.
This follows a "silent march" held by NMMU students and staff earlier this year.
The two events, scheduled for October 26 and the First of November, will set the stage for the national 16 Days of Activism Against Abuse campaign.
On October 26, the students and municipal officials will be spreading awareness about gender violence at the Garden Route Mall and Thembalethu township, while a "silent demonstration will take place at York Circle on November First from 1pm.
