The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality will hold a special council meeting next Thursday to address issues around decisions taken by people filling the position of acting city manager.
City Manager Lindiwe Msengana-Ndlela is due to return to work from sick leave on Monday where she will be assisted on a part-time basis by former municipal manager Graham Richards.
Richards took special leave on in July 2009 and later received a golden hand-shake when he left the metro.
Metrominute reports that Richards will apparently provide Council with advice on how to address challenges associated with decisions taken by acting city managers, specifi-cally Lineo Nkanjeni, who replaced Selwyn Thys last week.
Nkanjeni’s appointment was not sanctioned by Council.
