At least nine people were killed in a horror accident in the Eastern Cape.
Provincial traffic spokesperson, Charles Bramwell, said the accident happened last night on the N-9 between Middleburg and Cradock just before the turn-off to Cradock, Saturday night.
He said a min-bus taxi, believed to be en route to Uitenhage from Gauteng, hit a cow.
"It lost control and hit a truck head-on. On the scene the driver (of the truck) was killed and three males and three females were killed in the mini-bus." Bramwell said.
He said one person died in hospital Saturday night while the ninth victim also died in hospital early Sunday morning.
