The Great Brak River Police Station kicked of it's 16 Days of Activism Campaign of No Violence against Women and Children by upgrading their victim friendly room, also known as a trauma room
This week, Business Against Crime and Spar in the Western Cape joined hands with the SA Police Service to upgrade the facility.
The CEO of Business Against Crime in the Western Cape, Andrew Anthony, said yesterday said that the trauma room in Great Brak River was the 36th trauma room in the Western Province that had been upgraded.
He says a total of total of 150 victim friendly rooms will be revamped across the Western Cape Province.
"Sometimes the plight of the victims of crime , because of the deafening silence of the community at large. The upgrade and re-launch of the trauma room is to acknowledge the plight of the victims and instill hope" he said
