New born baby girl found in a toilet cubicle

Uitenhage police are investigating a case of concealment of birth after the body of a new born baby girl was found in a cubicle in a toilet at a primary school in Kwanobuhle.

Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Basil Seekoei, says the baby's body was found wrapped in a towel by a 10-year old learner on Wednesday.

He says paramedics believe the child was born somewhere else and then left in the school's toilet.

No arrests have been made.
