Port Elizabeth police have charged a suspect, who was arrested on Monday, for the murder of off-duty policeman, Constable Devon Hattingh.
Police spokesperson, Captain Andre' Beetge, has the latest development.
"We are proud to say our preliminary investigation have given us some positive results. The suspect appeared in the Motherwell court today and the case was postponed until the 7th of August for the suspect to get formal legal representation" he said
Hattingh was shot dead while sitting in his car in a street in Motherwell.
He was apparently providing security services for a private furniture company when he was shot.
Beetge says they are still searching for more suspects.
