The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality has issued a waning to beachgoers to strictly adhere to the instructions of lifeguards at the metro's southern beaches, as bluebottles are drifting towards Hobie Beach, Humewood Beach and Kings Beach.
Metro spokesperson, Kupido Baron says a member of the National Sea Rescue Institute was stung in the neck by a Bluebottle while exercising at Pollok Beach on Saturday morning.
He says people should be cautious when visiting the beaches.
