Buses from the Algoa Bus company are running at roughly 50% of capacity in the Nelson Mandela Bay Metro at the moment.
Operations Manager Willie Geldart told AlgoaFM News that there was chaos in Motherwell and New Brighton on Thursday with widespread intimidation and buses being stoned.
He said the problems started Wednesday afternoon when one of three unions at Algoa Bus embarked on a wild cat strike.
Two shop stewards from the union, Thor, were subsequently suspended.
Geldart says Algoa Bus and its three member-unions will be holding a meeting in an hour's time to try and resolve the situation.
