Uitenhage police have released the names of the two community rugby players who died in an accident near the town on Saturday afternoon.
Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Gerda Swart says they were 26-year old Enrico Donley and 21-year old Christiaan Plaatjies.
She says 13 members of the Mighty Blues rugby team were injured, after the VW microbus in which they were travelling overturned on the R334 in the direction of Paterson.
Swart says the driver allegedly lost control near the Aalwynshoek abattoir turnoff , and it overturned.
Police are investigating a case of culpable homicide.
