The Cacadu District Municipality may soon be undergoing a name change.
This, after the Distric Council supported a request by executive mayor, Eunice Kekana, to rename the Municipality the Sarah Baartman District Municipality.
This now sets the process in motion of informing National and Provincial Government, as well as a series of other structures as required by Municipal Structures Act.
Mayor Kekana has also called on the communities and stakeholders of the Cacadu District Municipality to provide their comment when the proposal is advertised for public input.
