Mutilated body found in Fort Beaufort

 Fort Beaufort police have opened a murder docket after the badly mutilated body of an elderly woman was found on Tuesday.

Police warrant officer Bradley Rawlinson says local people walking in the veld near the Hillside township made the grisly discovery.

He says body parts were removed from the 50-year-old murder victim who has not yet been identified.

No arrests have been made.
