Port Alfred police have arrested four suspects following the discovery of mutilated body in Nemato township.
Police spokesperson, Lieutenant Luvuyo Mjekula says the the body of a 23-year old man was found with multiple stab wounds over the weekend.
He says it is alleged that the man was walking with a friend to a nearby tavern when he was approached by men who started stabbing him.
Mjekula says the friend ran away from the scene.
The suspects will appear in court on Tuesday on a charge of murder.
