Jeffrey's Bay police are investigating a case of murder after a man shot and killed his 36-year old wife on Wednesday night in their house in Pellsrus.
Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Gerda Swart, says the 35 year old man, then turned the gun on himself and took his own life.
He worked for a security company and was on duty at the time of the tragedy.
Swart says the couple's baby was in the bedroom at the time of the shooting and was taken to safety by neighbours.
