Port Elizabeth police are investigating 3 counts of attempted murder following a shooting in Helenvale on Wednesday night.
Police spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg says during the incident a 9-year old girl was shot and wounded in the shoulder.
"The 19 year old victim was shot through the arm and the second victim (17) was also shot but the bullet went straight through his jacket and he was not injured. In the street there was a 9 year old playing and she was hit in the shoulder. She is in a stable condition in hospital" she said
Van Rensburg says police suspect the incident to be gang related.
