Police in Gqeberha are investigating a case of murder after the body of a man was found lying in an open field in Kwadwesi on Monday.
Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg says members responded to the complaint in Shope Street in the Govan Mbeki area around midday.
She said the deceased had sustained multiple injuries and is believed to be between the ages of 20 and 25.
The victim was wearing blue jeans and a grey coloured short sleeve t-shirt with a striped jersey underneath.
Police have urged anyone who can assist in tracing the family or who may be able to identify the deceased to contact SAPS Kwadwesi on 082 442 0964 or to visit their nearest police station.
"All information received will be treated as confidential and callers may opt to remain anonymous," she Janse van Rensburg.
