An Mthatha woman made a brief court appearance Thursday in connection with the discovery of the bodies of four babies in freezers in her home.
The case against the 29-year-old woman was postponed to next Wednesday and she remains in custody.
The woman, who cannot be named as yet, was arrested this week after police found the bodies of four baby girls as well as a foetus in freezers in her home last weekend.
She reportedly told police that the babies were her own children.
She faces a charge of murder.
National Prosecuting Authority spokesperson, Luxolo Tyali, said she faces three charges of murder and one of concealment of birth.
