The K9 unit in Mthatha is appealing to the public to be on the lookout for their K9-Belgian Shepherd who managed to get out of her kennels on Monday.
Spokesperson Sergeant Matola Mvanyashe says the six-year-old Dora was recently transferred from Maluti and is new to the area.
He says the dog managed to run away after her kennel door was opened so that she could be fed.
Dora has only been with the unit for a month and her worried colleagues have been looking for her ever since.
