Two men, accused of robbing and stabbing lawyer Dali Mpofu, appeared in the East London Regional Court on Monday.
The National Prosecuting Authority says the matter was postponed to March 14 for the defence to argue their case.
NPA spokesperson, Tsepo Ndwalaza says the State closed its case on Monday.
Chuma Komani and Thulani Simon, both 23, were arrested in May last year, a month after Mpofu was attacked on an East London beach.
