One person has been killed and another injured following a head-on collision on the N2 in Kabeljouws, near the Jeffreys Bay offramp.
A spokesperson for Provincial Traffic Charles Bramwell says a Volkswagen Polo collided head-on with a truck at about 8.30 am on Tuesday.
He says it is believed that the driver of the Polo, who was travelling towards Cape Town, lost control of his car before colliding with the truck.
The driver, whose identity is not yet known, died on the scene.
Bramwell says the truck driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries to the back.
He says the N2 between Mondplaas and Mentoorsplaza remains closed and all traffic is being diverted on the R102 as an alternative route.
