Motorcyclist killed in head-on collision on N2

A motorcyclist, who was allegedly driving on the wrong side of the freeway in Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth), was killed in a head-on collision in the early hours of Monday morning.

Spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says a Mercedes Benz, was travelling from west to east on the freeway near Young Park when the driver collided head-on with the motorcycle shortly before 3 am.

The victim died on impact and his identity is unknown at this stage.

A case of culpable homicide is under investigation.
