Motorcyclist dies near Oudtshoorn

A Motorcyclist has died in a collision near Oudtshoorn.

Police spokesperson, Captain Bernadine Steyn, says the accident happened about two kilometres outside Oudtshoorn on the N12 shortly before ten o'clock on Wednesday morning.

She says the motorcycle and truck were travelling in the same direction, when the bike hit the truck from behind.

The 40-year-old motorcyclist died at the scene.

The deceased, whose name has not been released, was from De Rust.
