Police in Bityi in the Eastern Cape say they've arrested one of their most wanted criminals.
A police spokesperson says the 26 year old suspect, whose been on the run for some time, was arrested on Sunday morning.
He was wanted in connection with 22 criminal acts that include attempted murder, robbery with aggravating circumstances, house robbery and theft.
The suspect will appear in court on Tuesday.
Provincial police commissioner, lieutenant-general Celiwe Binta, has thanked the Bityi community and the local police for the joint cooperation in nabbing the criminal suspect.
