Mossel Bay woman charged with murder after allegedly shooting husband

A woman from Mossel Bay will remain behind bars for the weekend after she allegedly shot her husband dead on Thursday night.

The 61-year-old woman from Heiderand was at home with her 49-year-old husband and 25-year-old daughter when she and the victim allegedly had an argument.

According to sources the victim was shot in the left side of his chest and was already dead when police arrived on the scene. 

The woman will be charged with murder when she appears in the Mossel Bay Magistrate Court on Monday.
