Mossel Bay residents shut "drug house" with wooden boards

Residents of Tarka in Mossel Bay teamed up on Thursday to close up a house where drugs are allegedly being sold.

Family of the homeowner who is well known for drug abuse, nailed the windows and doors of the house shut with thick wooden boards.

Community members and the Mossel Bay police were present during the operation in Alof Drive.

The spokesperson for the Tarka residents action committee, Freddie Afrika told Algoa FM news the whole community suffers from the actions and crimes committed by drug users at the house.
According to Afrika the house is in a horrible state.

The spokesperson for the Mossel Bay police station, Warrant Officer Pieter Koekemoer said police support the actions of communities to make their neighbourhoods drug free.
