Mossel Bay police are offering a R20 000 for information that will lead to the arrest and conviction of the suspects behind the murder of local farmer, Freddi Tolman.
Fifty-four-year-old Freddie Tolman was found dead in his vehicle on Wednesday morning after being shot during a failed robbery attempt.
Police said that up to six men may have been involved in the attack on Tolman.
The attackers reportedly tried to ambush Tolman on a dirt road by placing a branch of wood across the road.
When Tolman apparently refused to stop and sped off, the men opened fire, hitting him in the chest.
Police said the fleeing gunmen hijacked a couple and then abandoned their vehicle at the Dana Bay off ramp.
Anyone who may have information on the whereabouts of the attackers should contact Mossel Bay police.
