The Mossel Bay Municipality says it could take up to 6 hours to restore power to the Great Brak River / Glentana area.
This, after a cable fault was detected between the Eskom sub-station in Great Brak River and the municipality's overhead power lines.
The Mossel Bay Municipality says engineers have been on site since Wednesday night but it could take another 6 hours to restore the power supply.
It has apologised to consumers for the inconvenience but has also cautioned that all installations should be treated as live.
