Uitenhage man allegedly killed by train

 A Uitenhage man has been killed after allegedly being hit by a train.

Police spokesperson, lieutenant colonel Priscilla Naidu, says its alleged that 44-year-old Mzwandile Dandashe, was lying on the tracks when the train approached.

She says the train driver braked but could not stop immediately.

Dandashe's hand was severed and he died on the scene.

A case of culpable homicide is been investigated.
