Two men from Mossel Bay who were taken in for questioning following a hijacking in George have been arrested and charged.
Police captain Bernadine Steyn says the men were detained on Thursday afternoon.
Its alleged that the pair, aged 32 and 37, hijacked a truck at gunpoint from a parking area between Mead and Cradock Streets in George.
Steyn says the driver was forced out of the vehicle and three suspects then drove off.
Meat and cash taken from the truck was later found abandoned.
The suspects will appear in court on Monday on charges of armed robbery and hijacking.
