Mossel Bay man back in court for allegedly raping his mother

A man who is accused of raping his biological mother will appear in the Mossel Bay Magistrate Court on Wednesday. 

The 42 year old suspect was arrested after the Mossel Bay Family Violence Child Protection and sexual offenses Unit investigated the case.

It is alleged that the suspect raped his 79 year old mother over a period of time in 2014. 

The victim  has since died of natural causes.

The suspect was recently found fit to stand trial by the Valkenberg Psychiatric Hospital.
