Mossel Bay woke up to some quiet time on Monday after more than 4,000 bikers descended on the town this weekend for the annual Buffalo Rally.
The seaside resort town hosted the biker's rally for the sixth time, after it moved from Port Elizabeth in 2005.
There were reportedly some isolated incidents of bikers falling off their machines, but no major incidents reported.
Harry Hill of the Mossel Bay Municipality says the Buffalo Rally provides a welcome cash injection into the town of approximately R10m.
"The Buffalo Rally was slightly affected by rain that we had on Friday and Saturday but there was still a very good turn out although I understand it was less than last year. The Rally went well as it is quite an economic boost for Mossel Bay with guest houses, shops, restaurants and petrol stations benefits from this event, and as a municipality we therefore welcome the Buffalo Rally in Mossel Bay every year" Hill said.
