Mortars found in refuse bags in Mossel Bay

Mossel Bay police have launched an investigation following the discovery of three mortars in refuse bags.

Police spokesperson Captain Wollie Fourie says municipal workers found the mortars in Bayview at around 08:15 on Thursday morning.

He says members of the bomb unit disposed of the devices.

Fourie says they are still trying to locate the person(s) responsible for dumping the mortars.
