More welcome rain fell over large parts of the Eastern Cape on Friday and overnight into Saturday morning, including Nelson Mandela Bay's main catchment area in the Langkloof.
Spokesperson for the SA Weather Service in Gqeberha, Garth Sampson says over the past three days up until 8 o'clock on Saturday morning, 40 mm was measured at Joubertina, 37 at the Kouga Dam, 30 at Kareedouw, and 24 at Patensie.
In the metro itself, between 23 and 43 mm was measured.
Elsewhere, 77 mm was measured at Cape St Francis, 73 in East London, 65 at Fort Beaufort, 37 in Makhanda, and 17 mm in Plettenberg Bay.
