East London police have arrested 41 suspects aged between 20 and 48 for various crimes over the weekend.
Spokesperson, Lieutenant Nkosikho Mzuku says the arrests were made during Operation "Squeeze" in Mdantsane, Cambridge, Vulindlela, Berlin, Kei Mouth, Mooiplaas, Macleantown, Bluewater and Komga.
Those arrested were charged for various crimes, including dealing in drugs, drunken driving, attempted murder, rape, armed robbery, assault with the intention to cause grievously bodily harm, house robbery, house breaking and theft.
The suspects will appear in the Mdantsane Magistrate's Court on Monday.
