A Butterworth man is expected to appear in court on Monday for kidnapping a woman.
Police spokesperson, Captain Jackson Manatha says the victim was accosted by four men armed with knives while on her way home on Saturday.
He says the suspects demanded her cellphone and money.
Manatha says one of the suspects dragged the 25 year old woman to his home.
The 21-year suspect later fell asleep and the woman escaped and called a patrolling police vehicle on the N2.
Manatha says she led the police to the suspect's house, where he was arrested and charged with kidnapping.
