Nelson Mandela Bay Councillor Mongameli Bobani is in a big fight against Covid-19 after being hospitalised on Tuesday.
This is according to his lawyer, Danie Gouws who says Bobani was admitted to St George’s Hospital as he was suffering from shortness of breath.
Gouws says he was appointed by his wife to deal with the issue as she currently very emotional about the situation.
He says Bobani is currently under sedation and on a ventilator adding that his health is not looking good right now.
Bobani's Covid test came back positive on Wednesday.
Gouws says Bobani is a strong man who has faced a lot of things in his life.
