The fraud and money laundering trial involving former Eastern Province Rugby boss, Cheeky Watson and his three co-accused, is expected to resume in the Port Elizabeth Commercial Crimes Court on Monday.
Watson, Nadia Gerwel, Andrea Wessels and Mandisi Mkasa face charges of fraud and money laundering following a lengthy probe into alleged fraudulent activities involving around R12 million.
The money was meant for the city's Integrated Public Transport System (IPTS).
They were all arrested in 2017 following a lengthy probe by the Hawks.
A total of four people are charged alongside Watson and the sixth accused cited on the charge sheet being a company, Zeranza CC, belonging to Wessels.
The fifth suspect, Stephen Pistorius, has not appeared before court since the arrest due to falling ill.
All the accused are out on bail.
