A 28-year-old woman from Kamesh, Uitenhage, has made her first appearance on Thursday in connection with the death of her ten-month-old baby.
The child's parents were allegedly arguing about money on Christmas Day, when she threw her baby at the man.
Police spokesperson, Warrant-Officer Gerda Swart, says it is further alleged that the woman refused to take the baby for medical care.
When police heard about the matter afterwards, the baby was removed from his parents.
However, he died on Tuesday.
