Three suspects are expected to appear in the Keiskammahoek Magistrates Court on Friday on charges relating to human trafficking.
Hawks spokesperson Captain Yolisa Mgolodela says the two men and a woman aged 32, 36 and 42 were arrested by the Hawks in East London on Wednesday, assisted by the K9 Unit in Qonce (King Williams Town).
She says it is alleged that the arrested woman sold her two children to the male suspects for sexual exploitation.
The two teenagers aged 13 and 15 were offered regularly to the suspects from February 2019 and March 2021, in exchange for money.
Captain Mgolodela says the youngest child has Down Syndrome.
