A crisis is brewing in Molteno, where the water supply to consumers is interrupted.
Listeners approached Algoa FM News, after they could not get any meaningful answers from the local municipality.
Residents of the town say they are without water for three days now.
As far as could be ascertained, there is a strike by municipal workers, who complain that they were not paid for months.
Repeated attempts by Algoa FM News to get comment from officials of the Inkwanca local municipality, were fruitless.
Union representatives could also not be reached.
The case has now been brought to the attention of the Department of Local Government and Traditional Affairs in Bhisho - and the issue was escalated to a higher level.
