The SA Weather Service in Port Elizabeth reported a mixed bag, as far as rainfall figures were concerned up until 8 o'clock on Thursday morning.
Spokesperson, Garth Sampson says the most promising figures were the 22 mm that fell at Kouga dam and the 17 mm's at Patensie.
Other areas where between 15 and 29 mm were measured, include Coega, Uitenhage, Addo, Grahamstown, Fort Beaufort and 3rd Ave dip in Port Elizabeth.
He says the rain at Kouga Dam and Patensie should result in some runoff, however the influence on the dam levels will be minimal.
Dam levels in Nelson Mandela Bay's catchment area are at present just over 40% on average.
