A 32-year-old man from Paarl in the Western Cape made a brief appearance in the Port Elizabeth Magistrates' Court on Monday.
The matter against Jacobus Oosthuizen was postponed to Wednesday the 25th of January, and he remains in custody.
Oosthuizen was nabbed by the PE Flying Squad on Saturday, after police received information about a suspicious vehicle at a fast food outlet near Fiveways in Newton Park, Cape Road
Colonel Priscilla Naidu says a police member reporting for duty, responded to the complaint and found Oosthuizen in the possession of his Nicola Pienaar's car.
Naidu says 28-year-old Nicola Pienaar has been missing since the 10th of January
But, Oosthuizen told police that he dropped her off in Oudtshoorn on the 7th of this month after they had an argument.
It was also revealed in court on Monday, that the home address he gave police, did not exist.
The matter had been remanded until Wednesday for his correct address to be verified, his offence schedule to be determined and for arrangements to be finalised, to have the matter transferred to the Paarl Magistrates Court.
* In a separate case, six people who were arrested in Port St Johns on the Wild Coast, were also due to appear in court on Monday.
