The Independent Electoral Commission says it can account for about a thousand ballot papers that the Economic Freedom Fighters had claimed had gone missing from an East London voting station.
EFF provincial leader in the Eastern Cape, Themba Wele, said they lodged an official complaint with the IEC's provincial operations centre after ballot papers were missing from St Anne's Primary School in Southernwood.
But, provincial electoral officer, Thami Mraji, says IEC officials went to the investigate and have accounted for all the ballot papers.
Meanwhile, the ANC says it also lodged a complaint with the IEC following incidents in Sterkspruit where party agents had been turned away for wearing ANC T-shirts.
