Police have confirmed that cyclist, Alan Broderick, who was reported missing has been found in the forest near the Bitou River.
Spokesperson, Sergeant Chris Spies, said the search and rescue operation, with the deployment of air support, led to the discovery of the 58-year-old at about 16:00 on Monday.
“He was airlifted and taken to a medical facility for further medical care,” he said.
This weekend police reported that Broderick was dropped off in the Knysna Forest on Saturday morning by his wife.
He had planned to cycle through the forest and back to Plettenberg Bay and he was set to arrive by 2 pm.
A search was launched when he failed to return.
