Defence minister, Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula has been deployed by the African National Congress to Nelson Mandela Bay for this weekend's voter registration.
Metro spokesperson, Kupido Baron says the minister will encourage community members in Motherwell to go out in their numbers to register to vote in this year's election to be held on 7 May.
He says she will conduct a door-to-door campaign to garner support for the ANC.
Baron says Mapisa-Nqakul will also visit Joe Slovo, Westville and Korsten, as well as shopping centres and taxi ranks in and around Port Elizabeth.
