Eastern Cape Local Government MEC, Mlibo Qoboshiyane and Cooperative Governance Minister, Richard Baloyi, will travel to Sterkspruit on Tuesday where a residents protest has shut down the town.
The Minister and his provincial counterpart will address the Sterkspruit community on the issues presented to the Minister when he visited the area early in the year.
These range from allegations of fraud and corruption in the Senqu Municipality which includes Lady Grey, to a demand for Sterkspruit to have its own municipality.
Qoboshiyane says violent protests and shutting down of the town are condemned and police are being called in to end violence.
