A Middelburg man in his sixties has been admitted to a Port Elizabeth hospital after being assaulted by a worker on his smallholding.
Police spokesperson, Captain Stefanie Smith, says a 51-year-old worker was arrested in Middelburg on Tuesday night in connection with the incident.
Its alleged that the two had argued over money when the worker allegedly assaulted his employer with a spade.
Smith says he was found in a workshop on the property by a friend.
The suspect will appear in court soon.
