The Eastern Cape Health Department has confirmed that another victim of last month's tragedy at a Middelburg factory has died.
Department spokesperson, Sizwe Kupelo, says a female victim died in Dora Nginza Hospital in the early hours of Monday morning, bringing the death toll to nine
According to a communication from the Department, a total of 13 women were admitted to Dora Nginza hospital.
Of that number eight have died, one has been discharged while four women remain in hospital.
The Department says a total of six men were admitted to the hospital for treatment for burns, one of who has died.
Four male burn victims have been discharged while one remains in hospital.
More than 30 people suffered burns and other injuries following the blast and subsequent fire at the Rolfe Laboratories factory in Middelburg on the 14th of October.
