Protesting Nelson Mandela Metro security officials have forced the closure of the administrative hub of the Municipality in the city.
City Hall, Pleinhuis and the former Eric Tindale and Brister house buildings have all been locked - all but paralysing administration.
Some 70 security staff employed by the municipality are believed to be unhappy with their gradings, overtime and other conditions of employment.
